The City of Calgary is waiving the DP (development permit) for secondary suites, including carriage suites, until June 1-2020. It?s a $1364.48 savings. You still will need a BP (building permit) to do the suite: approx $1312. I was explained this was offered in a bid to get secondary suite owners to comply to legalize their suites, and if not, they would start to follow up on them.
